Lakeside Swim Team is honored to carry on the tradition of the Ohio Valley Championships. This year, we will be hosting the 93rdedition of the meet. The Ohio Valley Championship (OVC) dates back to 1928, making it the oldest continuous open swim meet in the country. The quarry at Lakeside Swim Club is one of the most unique and historic competition pools in the world, serving as the host for multiple AAU and USA Swimming National Championships. In 2016, Lakeside Swim Club was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame, joining iconic entities Churchill Downs, Valhalla Golf Club, Keeneland Race Course, and Hillerich & Bradsby.
From its beginning in 1928, the Lakeside SeaHawks Swim Team has been an important part of the Louisville community and a source of community pride. Over the years, the SeaHawks have produced 10 US Olympians and hundreds of swimmers that have gone on to compete collegiately and internationally. The Lakeside SeaHawks Swim Team is a non-profit organization committed to continuing its tradition of competitive swimming excellence.
The 2020 Ohio Valley Championship will be June 11-13. As we prepare for the historic meet, we are working to produce the OVC Meet Program, which will be professionally printed. The program will include information about the history of the meet, team photos, featured articles, personal messages, messages from alumni, and advertising from local businesses and participating teams. As a non-profit organization we are seeking corporate and individual sponsors to help fund this initiative. Our goal is $20,000, and the money raised will go towards the design, printing, distribution of the informational program, and Lakeside Seahawks Swim Team.
There are multiple sponsorship options to select from below. Sponsorships can be a company logo, a shout out to your favorite swimmer(s), picture with tag line, or simply an anonymous contribution if you’d like to donate without recognition in the OVC program. This year, we have 3 different payment options available for you:
We will be collecting donations for the OVC Program through May 1st, 2020. Thank you for your commitment, we hope you will support the team and the legacy of the meet.
