Lakeside alum and current Stanford Cardinal Brooke Forde punched her ticket to Tokyo after finishing 2nd in the Women’s 400 IM at the US National Championships in Irvine, CA. The 2018 Pan Pacific Championships is the biggest meet of the year for the US National Team. She will be competing for Team USA in Japan, August 9th to August 14th.
With that swim, she is also a front runner to make the 2019 US World Championship Team. The fastest two US Swimmers in every event between the 2018 US National Championships and the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships will be named to next year’s World Championship Team. Her time of 4:35.09 is currently the 5th fastest time in the world this year!!
Congratulations, Brooke, and good luck in Tokyo!!
