Eight Seniors Sign Their National Letter’s of Intent

Lakeside Swim Team. NLI. College Swimming

Tomorrow, eight Lakeside swimmer’s will sign their National Letter’s of Intent to swim in college. The college signing period begins November 14th and extends through August 1st, 2019. The Seniors that will be signing include Allison Bauer, Grace Huber, Claire McAtee, Sophia Miller, Gracie Saulman, and Hunter Tapp. They were honored by their parents, coaches, and teammates at the Mary T Meagher Aquatic Center on Monday at our Senior Signing Ceremony. Hannah Hager and Lauren Thompson will also be signing their NLI’s this week, but were not able to attend.

“We are very fortunate to have so many high-caliber athletes that have come through the program. We are very proud of all 8 of these athletes! I hope that others will follow the example our seniors have set as they progress through the program” – Coach Mike DeBoor

NLIs are one-year scholarship agreements that make up the framework of the NCAA scholarship system. An NLI is a binding agreement between an athlete and a school in which the athlete agrees to attend the school and the school agrees to provide athletic financial aid.

There are currently more than 40 Lakeside alumni actively competing in the NCAA. These eight, along with others that will commit to swim in college later in the year, will continue to add the the tradition of Lakeside Swim Team’s competitive swimming excellence.

Congratulations to the following Seniors:

Allison Bauer – Vanderbilt University
Hannah Hager – Campbellsville University
Grace Huber – Xavier University
Claire McAtee – Florida Gulf Coast University
Sophia Miller – Boston College
Gracie Saulman – Ball State University
