Hundreds of the United States’ top rising swimming stars, including 10 members of Lakeside Swim Team’s National team, will be in action at this week’s Speedo Winter Junior National Championships, opening Wednesday in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The team will be led by US National Junior Team member Annabel Crush, US World 100 Team Member Hunter Tapp, and Will Cole. Annabel’s highest seed is fifth in the 100 backstroke and 12th in the 200 backstroke, Hunter is seeded third in the 100 freestyle and 12th in 50 freestyle, and Will is seeded 9th in the 100 back and 15th in the 200 backstroke.
Our boys are also expected to do really well in the relays. Lakeside is seeded sixth in the 800 freestyle relay and fourth in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay.
You can catch the action via the live webcast starting Wednesday night. The webcast will be available online at usaswimming.org throughout the short-course-yards competitions. You can also follow the meet on Meet Mobile by searching “2018 Speedo Winter Junior Championships East.”
