Twelve Lakeside swimmers are in California getting ready for the 2019 Speedo Junior National Championships. Racing begins on Tuesday morning, and will continue through Saturday evening. Jack Anderson, Alex Blom, Alex Brehm, Jake Burd, Will Cole, Conner Kang, Mackenzie Lanning, Madeline Meredith and Jackson Mussler will be joining the rest of the team in California this week. Annabel Crush, Emily Lenihan, and Claire Donan will be staying in California for another week after competing at the US National Championships last week.
Those competing at Junior Nationals last week are hoping to continue the momentum gained last week at Nationals. The team picked up several new 2020 Olympic Trial cuts, and Annabel earned a spot on the 2019 US World Junior Championship team.
